Introducing the LR-1 pylon racer!

Wild Hare R/C has established a reputation for selling high quality value priced giant scale aerobatic planes powered by gasoline engines. So what are we doing here?

The LR-1 was so neat looking when we discovered it we couldnā ¬!"t resist putting it in the product line. All composite and painted in the mold, itā ¬!"s a beautiful plane that looks like itā ¬!"s going fast even when itā ¬!"s sitting still.

This little beauty is designed to accept glow engines in the range of .15 to .29, or can be powered with electric motors. Either way itā ¬!"s a kick to fly.
The hard parts of building this plane, like hinging, mounting the wing, installing landing gear, etc. can be done in just an hour or two. Ailerons are already top hinged with a Kevlar strip as is the optional rudder (just slit one side to free up the rudder if you really feel you need it). Only the elevators require hinging.

This little beauty is available in 3 color schemes (red/white/black shown, red/yellow, and blue/yellow) and includes everything needed to assemble the plane, all hardware including a Dave Brown engine mount. It even includes a teeny set of wheel pants for those who like to dress their planes up.
Out of the box the LR-1 weigh about 18 oz. Ready to fly with a glow engine or electric it will be in the range of 2.5 lbs. And flying is what it is built for. 295 sq. inches of composite sandwich wing area is super strong for those high-G turns. It is stable and easy to fly and land and will also perform basic aerobatics when asked. But its real strength is in its sleek fuselage and thin low drag wing.

This thing is fast. With an OS .25FX on it the plane feels like a quickee 500. With something hotter like a MVVS .26 or Jett BSE .25 it will be outrageous.
