We
at Wild Hare are excited to announce two
totally new aircraft in the quarter-scale
size.
The
new Edge 540 and Extra 260 are totally new
designs replacing the older baby Edge 540T.
These new planes feature an all new approach
to aircraft in this size range. They are
designed to be as light as is possible,
flying weight is as little as 8 ½ pounds.
Reducing the weight makes these planes completely
viable for economical electric power, and
will make them radical performers with glow
or gas engines of really modest cost. An
OS 1.20 AX is more than enough power for
rocketing pullout from a hover, and great
3d performance is also possible with any
of the new 26cc gas engines that are becoming
available. YS 1.10 is another excellent
choice, or a Saito 1.25. Evolution 26 is
a good example of an excellent gas engine
choice.
These
planes feature built-up wings and all wood
fuselage construction.
