News you can use, all the latest about Wild Hare R/C
January 10, 2012 Due to the weak US economy Wild Hare has taken some steps to help us make it through this rough patch. Basically we are holding back on purchase of more inventory until things start looking better. To understand why we do this let me explain how our business works. We order planes from builders in china. Our builders don't want to accept orders for less than 50 planes in a batch. Sometimes they will accept smaller orders but they charge us a premium to get smaller quantities. To make matters worse the cost of shipping has skyrocketed, the only way to economize is to ship larger quantities. So smaller quantities are much more expensive and larger quantities get old before they get sold, so we can't win. Right now we are sold out of all airplanes. That's going to be it until people find that they once again have a little spare cash at the end of the month. The good news is the 50cc Hellcat has been a big success and I'm working on a new Spitfire for 20-30cc gas engines or 1.20 size glow. Let's all hope things pick up so we can all get back to the business of having fun. We continue to sell our accessories such as DLE engines, A123 batteries, mufflers and canister systems, hardware kits, Dave Brown spinners, and spare parts for our planes as we are able to supply them We also have several engines available that we've been keeping for a rainy day. I hope you all will stick with us and keep checking back. With any luck things will improve soon and we can get back to providing the best in giant scale aircraft! In the mean time we are still here with top quality accessories like A123 batteries, plus the straight answers you need!
